The wet electrostatic precipitator (WESP) made of 2205 material for flue gas collection at the electric furnace front is dispatched by road. The flue gas volume of this WESP is ≤ 80,000 m³/h, the flue gas temperature is ≤ 90℃, the working pressure is ≤ 7,000 Pa, and the designed dust removal flow velocity is ≤ 1 m/s.

The flue gas treated by this wet electrostatic precipitator is the flue gas at the yellow phosphorus furnace front, which contains highly corrosive media such as sulfur, phosphorus, arsenic, and fluorine. A flow equalization device is equipped at the inlet of the demister to ensure that the flue gas can flow through the electric field better and more evenly. The material of the flow equalization device must meet the operating environment requirements of the wet flue gas after desulfurization. The power supply of the entire system is designed with a PLC automatic control system, which automatically controls spraying and cleaning. Meanwhile, the PLC system reserves a communication interface, and all data can be uploaded to the DCS control room.

This unit is a new additional order from the Shandong customer, as the previously purchased WESP for calcium chloride granulation has achieved excellent operational results. Two wet electrostatic precipitators (WESP) with a gas handling capacity of 22,000 m³/h for acid-making tail gas have entered the commissioning phase. The net flow area of tail gas in the anode tubes of this wet electrostatic precipitator and demister is ≥ 10 m². The main body is made of conductive FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic), equipped with an automatic control system. Both the cathode wires and cathode suspension rods are made of Hastelloy C276.

The semi-dry process mixing tower, part of the Guizhou 75T stainless steel boiler tail gas treatment system, is currently under fabrication. This tower features a flue gas handling capacity of 30,000–140,000 m³/h, with calcium oxide (CaO) powder as the treating agent. The flue gas residence time is more than 1 second, and the flue gas temperature ranges from 180°C to 200°C. The tower is constructed from 316L stainless steel.

This wet electrostatic precipitator is designed to remove acid mist from the tail gas discharged after the washing process of the phosphine tail gas incinerator. The main components of the flue gas include water vapor, phosphorus pentoxide (P?O?) and phosphine (PH?), with a gas treatment capacity of 40,000 m³/h.
The equipment supplied by Hebei Weimei includes all the necessary facilities required for the normal operation of the complete set, such as the wet electrostatic precipitator shell (upper gas chamber, lower gas chamber, ash collecting chamber), inlet and outlet matching flanges, anode tubes, cathode wires, counterweights, internal spray system, access doors, explosion-proof openings, etc.

The customer’s products include trichloroisocyanuric acid, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, cyanuric acid, etc., which are used in water treatment and disinfection applications, and are mainly exported to European countries. Installed at the end of the production line, the two wet electrostatic precipitators have already entered the commissioning and operation phase.

Operation Case of Calcium Chloride Tail Gas in Hubei
The two sets of wet electrostatic demisters are applicable to the wet electrostatic precipitator for calcium chloride drying flue gas. Hebei Weimei Environmental Protection is responsible for the functional design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and operation of the main body of the high-voltage electrostatic demister and its auxiliary equipment system.
This wet electrostatic demister has a flue gas treatment capacity of 180,000 m³/h, with the inlet flue gas dust content (particulate matter) ≤ 200 mg/m³ and flue gas temperature ≤ 50℃. The air inlet and outlet of the demister are arranged in a bottom-in and top-out mode, and the designed flow rate of the demister is 1.1 m/s. The required dust emission concentration of the final product ≤ 20 mg/m³ has been achieved up to standard at present.

The first wet electrostatic precipitator for upgrading and reconstruction of calcium chloride production line in Shandong Project
The customer is engaged in the chemical production of sodium metabisulfite, sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride and magnesium chloride. Among them, the calcium chloride production line is in urgent need of environmental protection upgrading and reconstruction. The flue gas flow rate of the demister in this production line is 40,000 m³/h, the inlet flue gas temperature is below 60℃, and the airflow direction is bottom-in and top-out.

The one close by is the second unit, and the one in the distance is the third unit of wet electrostatic precipitator for flue gas deep purification, showing the treatment effect of calcium chloride tail gas.
